Not this year. Eli IMO doesnt look near ready for a superbowl. 2 years from now yes. I think the giants will get knocked out in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

The thing that I like about Eli is that when he has pressure, and HAS to make a play, he does. He comes through in tough spots. Then, like almost all young QB's he $hits the bed on wide open receivers, throws that high ball and it gets picked ....... lots of good things Eli does do!

I can see the Giants or Seahawks from the NFC, but now it is harder to count the Patriots out. I think the Patriots are the last team any AFC playoff team wants to meet.

Eli is not as good as Peyton and IMO he never will be. If my Pat's dont get past Indy I would love to see Peyton and Eli battle it out in the super bowl with Peyton taking home the ring.

Tiki Barber's 41 yard TD run last night was the most pathetic display of poor tackling I have ever seen, I would cut anyone of those defenders that were involved in not tackling him.

true, but Tiki has been doing this all season. I don't know why you would try and minimize a great game by him, especially with half of the offensive line out with injury AND half of their linebacking corps out with injury. A very good effort by the Giants yesterday.

Well that takes 10 out of their 11 starting defense. Yep they counted 10 misses.

KC has a good run defense? Huh? Since when.

KC should have won this game, and let's not try to minimize the liability that Eli has been, especially against teams the Giants should be dominating (against the Eagles is a perfect example). He had THREE picks in the fourth quarter.

He has a 75.9 QB rating, nearly as many picks (16) as TDs (22), and is barely above 50% in passes completed.

Yes, here come the NY defenders 'it's only his first year!'. True, but there's nothing in his numbers to suggest or hint that he's going to be the superstar QB you NY lovers claim he will be.

Tiki is carrying that team. Without him, they'd be in the Bush Bowl.

The above board member is the biggest liability of this message board.
    He states the following:

"True, but there's nothing in his numbers to suggest or hint that he's going to be the superstar QB you NY lovers claim he will be."

Eli Manning has struggled all year but has shown MORE than enough times that he will be a good quaterback. I guess pulling the Denver game out of his rear end is not a "hint" or the game in Dallas where he drove the Giants down the field TWICE in the final minutes to force OT.

Now, of course this cluless no nothing won't be able to find anything to back up his hate all NY biased $hit that he spews. I certainly don't see "all of you NY lovers" parading around touting ELi.

Also, the moron board member above this post seems to think the NY media is glorifying Eli somehow, which is completely wrong as the they have been skeptical of Eli all season long. Axtell says whatever fits his agenda, regardless of how wrong it is.

Axtell, it has been nice not having to read your ridiculous propaganda the past few days. Do us all a favor and keep away like you have been. This forum is much better off without you. There are no NY fans here that fit your loony bin view of the sportsworld. Get lost chump.

I've told you time and again that you are a moron. Believe it.

The media (Ny and in general) have been trying (emphasis on TRYING) to pump up Eli all year long as the next great thing...he's done nothing to prove he's worthy of such praise...but then, when you play in the biggest media market, you're going to receive a ton of undue credit.

Softie, you are too close to the issue to see what's really happening...you are too blinded by the love of 'your' Giants (and I use the quotes because they are your team this year, but who knows how long you've been a fan).

The giants are a one trick pony (Tiki) who have pinned their hopes on a hack of a QB.

Softie, this is my last response to your insane rantings on this thread...you're a jackass who can't accept that there are people out there who are as in love with 'your' teams as you are. You can't accept that there are media biases (and there are you dips***), who try to pump up certain players. You can't accept that people dislike players (like Eli) who receive undue credit. You can't accept life DOESN'T revolve around NY and it's overhyped teams.

Grow up and realize people won't always agree with you.

See, this is what I mean. In no way has the NY media been pumping up Eli Manning. NOT ALL YEAR. Especially radio, which as been all over him. I stopped reading your crap after that Axtell. Yeah, that's why Bush is so coveted...a great player hides a lot of a team's flaws (that are ultimately exposed in the playoffs).

Besides Brady, who on the first two super bowl runs of the pats would be considered a 'great' player?

Thanks for making my point so clear.

Generalize it? Uhm, an offensive line's effectiveness is based on how many sacks they allow, or don't you know football?

You say they've played well all season, but then try to wipe away the 25 sacks? Uhm? What do you think Houston needs most, as they've allowed the most sacks over the past 2 years? Yes, an offensive line.

It's obvious you try to skew what you say over and over until you've covered all sides of a debate, then say 'I never said that!'

Oh really? Is that how an offensive lines effectivness is based? image I am glad you think that! THE MOST RIDICULOUS thing i ahve heard from you yet.

How about how many yards a team rushes for? How many yards the offense gets through the air? AND you moron, the NUMBER 1 factor in gauging an offensive line? ITS BALL CONTROL DUMMY. THE AMOUNT OF TIME THE OFFENSE SPENDS ON THE FIELD

You ARE such an idiot ax! image

Big Giants fan here, but there is absolutely no way Eli is ready for that stage. He has been so inconsistent, which can be expected from a young QB with all the pressure he faces. IF anything, Eli is just making the strongest case for Tiki Barber being the MVP....does anyone think the Giants would have more than 4 or 5 wins this yr without him ?
