I Wonder What Happened To....

NGS?

image

We have seen so many third tier grading companies. For those who are relatively new, this was a funny thread started to try and fool us into thinking he had actually stumbled onto a new grading company.

Ergo, the birth of Pogo Stick Grading company from my part of the story.

It's been slow and I thought some of the veterans might remember that saga.

Someone actually did a "map" search and found out the address of the guy was on a college campus!!!

Then it was a battle of words. And for a little while, Collector222 was a household name! LOL

    <<< NGS? >>>

It was rumored that he became a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon.

LOL - that was a very funny thread.
  • Thank you for the good read.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

For the honored veterans here - I thought you would get a kick of this.

If anyone hasn't seen a real old fashioned CU "battle of the belittles" - I recommend you read the link.

Some of it is just classic. We had some really interesting times here!

I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. But, I will say, there aren't as many hobby questions as there used to be.

Geez, how'd I miss that thread the first time around. And who'd pick a fight with Stone? He's like the wizened sage of the board.

It came back to me a little more...We had even found a photo of the guy pictured standing around with five of his friends in a campus classroom working on some project. I think also that he was trying to pitch for a $5 fee he would get ebay negative feedbacks removed for you.

Good one Mike. Odd thing was that the guy continued to come back for more and more punishment after his cover was blown.

    Thanks for the memory image
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

I think it was the same guy. I searched for that thread but couldn't find it.
  • That was fun. Especially when he had a RedMan Mays in PSA 8 that was in a regular card size holder. Poor guy didn't know when to stop. Similar to Adam J. Moraine over at Net54.

If I am correct he is on these boards as Abbysdaddy, though I think he has toned it down.
