I expect to spend some time in Croatia next month. If I get the chance I will pick up a sampling of their coinage. If anyone wants some, please let me know. The exchange rate is near 6.5 Kunas to the dollar.... My hotel is 700 Kunas per night. I hope I get a lot for that many Kunas!

Last I looked it was 6 or 6.5 Kuna per dollar. Those sets of 3 25 Kuna Coins are reported to cost 100 Kunas, or less than $20.

Hey folks. I am in Zagreb now. I got to the National Bank Tuesday, but it closed at 1530. I hope I can make it there Friday before I fly out. So far I just have circulation change. I need more. The 4 smallest denom coins barely circulate. The circulating 25 kuna commems do not circulate. I may need to also go to a bank just for extra change and to get the lower denominations. 1 Lipa is 1/100 of a kuna, and a kuna is only 16 cents.... so it takes six Lipa to make one cent!
