What types of cards did you send in?

I had hoped to have my cards back by Christmas but that doesn't look like it will happen.

  • I sent 4 subs in on two different days (two subs per package). Each of the grading sub has been returned or is in the mail, but the two in-holder cross-overs are MIA. It appears like the cert numbers have been reserved (there is a hole in the cert checks), but no cards. I was wondering if they only have a certain number of graders that will do in-holder crossovers, and they are all on vacation or something. The previous times I have tried this, they were all done at the same time.

I don't mind that PSA takes their time to get it right. I just hope it happens soon, as the Christmas season is financially starting to put the screws to me.

Are there still members out there with October specials that still haven't popped?

Yep, I still have an October special not showing up. I sent in two and just received grades for the 1st one on Monday...still waiting for the second. What gets me is that there are people with Nov. and Dec. specials that have already received grades...seems like there is no rhyme or reason as to what order they do their grading in?!! I just hope the 1st order physically shows up soon so I can post some on for sale on Ebay. Maybe the other grades will show up soon..I'm crossing my fingers!!! Oh yeah, and I also emailed PSA on this subject over a week ago..got a generic response that my email would be answered in the order received...still haven't got a response.....maybe the way they answer email should be the way they grade...in the order received!!! lol

I stop checking on my October Sub.

    Better on the blood pressure.

I am sure PSA has the standard US company set-up. Joe and a bunch of execs get paid big $$ to sit on their a*ses while
a thin stable of under paid graders try and reduce the mountain of submissions.

I'm waiting on a November submission, only been a few weeks so far. I feel for those of you that have an October special still pending. I was a little bitter when my Oct. sub was rec'd 11/3 and wasn't graded til 11/28. Guess I was a bit luckier than some of you. I've seen numerous Nov. subs rec'd a day or two before and after mine that were done within 5 days, but mine is still sitting there. My last few subs prior to that were all graded very quickly. I guess I got spoiled.

  • I am waiting on a November Sub, received 11/16. I am also waiting on a PSA/DNA sub, received on 11/29.

Mine was rec'd 11/2 and the grades popped Tuesday, got the cards on Thursday (I'm about 35 miles from PSA)
60 or so cards, all 50's, some sort of obscure issues and about 20 cards from regular issues.
Best of luck guys, my submission in mid August took until the very end of October.
Good, fast, cheap. Pick 2. I opted for good and cheap, so I can't complain it wasn't fast I guess.

So far this year I've been lucky in turnaround times. The longest one took 2 weeks. Are you guys sending in large orders of 50+ cards? I usually send in between 5-15 cards.

Are there more than two graders working at the office right now? Seems like there is a LOT of orders MIA right now, just with people on these boards...I can't imagine all the others that don't post here.

Lets all hope that xmas proves to be a magical day and we all see a ton of Gem's listed in our results.

10/2 was a Sunday...and that puts you over 50 business days. I'd be making some phone calls if that's the right date.
  • I submitted 2 orders which were received on 11/2 and have not received them yet

I submitted a December special. It was done in 4 business days. Thanks PSA!!
  • Don't want to piss some of you guys off even more than you already are but my modern submission (21 cards $8 with guar. turnaround of 35 business days) was received on this Monday the 19th and posted today the 21st. I think it's crazy that some of you guys still have October subs not posted yet. Hope ya'll get that early Christmas present this week image

You think PSA is slow now----they are taking the next 4 days off!!image
  • Got my 10/27 order today. Thanks Psa and Happy Holidays
  • Yep -

Happy Holidays! PSA will be closed from Friday, December 23 through Monday, December 26th to allow our employees time with family and friends. Please give the Set Registry staff an extra 72 hours upon our return on Tuesday, December 27th, to address missing spec numbers and other customers service issues. Thanks in advance for your patience. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!

I have a 15-card high dollar vintage submission there right now, hopefully none of the grader's uncles get drunk and ruin Christmas dinner.

  • Well, I guess PSA had the last laugh on me. My $8 modern submission (guar 35 day turnaround) can get graded, posted, and shipped in 3-4 days (21 cards received 12/19 posted 12/21 and shipped 12/22) but my freakin vintage submission 78 total cards at $12 a piece will take forever now with PSA being closed Fri-Mon. I don't know about some of you guys, but I think it sucks for East Coast guys who have to ship their stuff all the way out to California to get graded. Especially if they are sending in high-dollar items like vintage or whatever because if they're smart they are shipping Registered mail. Can't PSA set up another building in the Midwest, South, or Northeast? I shipped my vintage order from Georgia on 12/13 by registered mail. Well, of course it probably reaches PSA by Friday the 16th but isn't logged into the system until the following Monday 12/19. It has a guaranteed appr. 5 business day turnaround, well, I was praying for it to post on Thur. the 22nd. NO LUCK! Now, with PSA closed until Tuesday the 27th because of the holidays, I'll be lucky as hell to get my cards back by Friday the 30th but more likely I won't get them until Monday Jan. 2nd. And that's if PSA isn't closed that Monday and if the post office is up and running the Monday after a Sunday holiday which I don't think they are. So my submission ($12/5 business day turnaround) sent on 12/13 will not get back into my hands until probably 1/3/06 at the earliest image That's 3 freakin' weeks because of weekends, holidays, slow mail service, etc. image Anyways, just had to get that off my chest and vent to somebody. I'm not complaining about PSA employees getting time off for the holidays, I think it's great. However, I do feel for you guys who still have October subs still waiting to post ! Hope everybody has a Merry Christmas!
