Kind of makes you think twice about submitting relatively modern mint commons for grading, not to mention considering submitting near mint. This guy actually lost money and his mint commons. I seem to have noticed some lots of PSA graded commons going for very cheap prices recently. Have you guys noticed this as well? Maybe the population of graded mint commons has been increasing significantly recently. What do you think? Anybody see any completely graded PSA sets sell recently and what prices were realized?
It was a good deal, bu not a great deal. What does one do with 9 copies of each of those. I don't think the buyer is gauranteed that each one would sell for the $2.30 he paid for them.
I would probably set a reserve on a lot that big to at least protect my cards. Who knows, last week I sold a 1978 Topps PSA 9 Carew for 15 bucks and tonight I sold another one for 31 dollars. Both cards came from the same case and had identical centering and small print marks. This football lot might go for 8 bucks a card next time. There is no rhyme or reason ....
which is probably why so many dealers snatch up cards off ebay and put them on their web-site. They know the full market value often isn't reached in seven days.
If he positioned those cards correctly on the scanner, it would really look like WIlbur and Ray were checking out Dexter's package that he seems so proud of.
I really hate those Topps football cards where they did not have the team logo on the helmet. For some reason it kills what could be a nice looking card and then you see a blank helmet, JMHO.

That's why some cards go for below SMR and why the same card will go for above SMR a few days later.
