One last pat on the back for ANR regarding my recent experience...

I think I have such a low expectation when it comes to customer service, that whenever anyone goes even slightly beyond some minimum threshold, I am thoroughly impressed. (I think my cynicism is well founded because recently I needed a tree cut down, and I called 6 tree people and one called me back; last winter a pipe froze on the air handler in the attic and I desperately needed a plumber. I called at least 15 plumbers. Not one called me back. But I digress...).

I ordered the new Type Coins book from ANR as a Christmas present for my 12 year old nephew. I ordered it on Tuesday morning, and I received it today (in record time). Then I asked if QDB himself would sign it and personalize it, and asked if he could write some words of encouragement to a 12 year old collector. I was very happy to open the book and see that he wrote: Merry Christmas, Matthew. Good luck with your collection. I hope you enjoy the book! [signed] QDB.

My nephew is going to get a kick out of it when he sees it (he's that type of kid). I also got him an inexpensive large cent becuase the last time I saw him he had a bucket of wheat cents that he was excited about and he wanted me to help him look through them.

So I just have to give another pat on the back to ANR. I hope that positive posts on these boards don't get old.
