T206 auctions with no idea of back on ebay

This is a tremendous pet peeve of mine. Someone puts a nice description of the card, gloss, corners etc, but cannot put the type of tobacco in the description. I only collect Sweet Cap backs and I am sick and tired of emailing sellers. Could you please tell me what kind of back the card has? Sometimes I will get no response so likewise I do not bid. Obviously PSA can fix this and put the description on the flip but come on. I know I am venting, just curious if anyone feels the same.

I agree with you. since psa does not do that I feel it is incumbent upon the seller to state such info in the description. What gets me is some sellers will tell you all this biographical crap yet won't say what reverse the card has.

Early bowmans are a pet peeve of mine as many have a wax stain and since it is so prevalent psa never gave them the ST qualifier. When i was working on upgrading I had no idea many times of the card i was biddingon had such a stain. Sellers that show both sides of a card are in the minority as it can be costly to do so.

I agree. I think backs should always be scanned, but with T206's one should at least mention the type of reverse.

I noticed that with the 1953 Bowman Colors. Are you saying that PSA considers the "prevalency" (if that's a word) of stains when determining whether or not to use the ST qualifier? Because I have a few 5's with pretty large wax stains (all on back), and no ST.

I agree as well. Backs should always be described on T206s. I am trying to get as many back varieties as possible.

Usually I offer scans of the reverse to bidders on request. For most cards the reverse isn't an issue. If it were a high dollar card, I would post a scan of the back.
