Anybody know what a PSA 8 1959 Topps #35 TED KLUSZEWSKI goes for???

Hi - I thought I saw one sell for over $400.00 on ebay a couple of weeks ago but not sure. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

SMR for a PSA 8 = $ 80.00 (SMR = The Latest Suggested Retail Price Guide by PSA)
SMR for a PSA 9 = $ 400.00 (SMR = The Latest Suggested Retail Price Guide by PSA)

    87 PSA 8's graded
    5 PSA 9's
    no 10's!

edit: Note: a 1959 Topps #300 Richie Ashburn PSA 8 was just auctioned on ebay. 15 bidders bid-it-up with the winning "hammer price" of: $ 411.00. The SMR for a PSA 8 Ashburn is $95.00 1959 PSA 8 Ashburn

Thanks RBD. I checked my SMR and could have sworn that KLUSZEWSKI was an 8 and sold for big money on ebay a few weeks ago. Thanks.

Had to be over a month ago. Ebay does not show it in their completed section.

There would be no reason that the Klu in 8 would go for $400 as rbdjr1 says it has a rather high pop in PSA 8 (87) with 5 better. I could see a PSA 9 going for $400

The Ashburn pop is much lower (35 in PSA 8 with none better)........

    Just a heads up:

The 1959 Topps #300 Richie Ashburn PSA 8 was just auctioned on ebay.

A variety of bidders bid-it-up (with 15 bids) with the winning "hammer price" of: $ 411.00. THE ASHBURN AUCTION RESULTS!

Again note: The SMR for a PSA 8 Ashburn is $95.00

So, even though a Kluszewski has a larger population than the Ashburn card does, it is still quite possible that a few of the 1959 Topps PSA Registry Set collectors, "duked it out", ...with the winner of the "Big Klu" card just may have paid "four Franklins" for it?

The Ashburn SMR is only $15 more than the Kluszewski ($95 - Ashburn and $80 - Big Klu)

Consider: The Ashburn population is skewed because there are no cards better then PSA 8. It would be a good bet that many PSA 8 have been resubmitted more then once in search of the elusive PSA 9.

SMR in this situation means squat...........
