JJ Teaparty Strikes again.........

goose3goose3 Posts: 11,471 ✭✭✭
Today I go into town to get my mail and there's a card in my po box meaning I have a package.....hmmmm. I don't have anything ordered but it is that time of year and we have 3 young kids.

I get the package and it's addressed to me from a place I don't recognize......smoe candy place out of state. I tear the large box open while still inside the PO to find a nice box of assorted chocolates and a container of cashews.

On them is a card stating "From your friends at JJ Teaparty"

They are a first class operation. Fair, Friendly, Fast, and Free (candy and nuts!)image

  • Hmmmm. I guess I better up my business with Teaparty. Haven't seen anything from them. I got a gift from one dealer, this year, but I don't want to get them in trouble, with the customers who idn't get anything.image
  • Looking forward to my free sample
  • I haven't bought enough coins from anybody this year to get candy image
  • All I got was a Christmas card from Stack's...... no candy or nuts.

Still nice. I appreciated it. image And payed them back by placing an email bid with them this morning.

I once got a box of Chocolates from a Credit Card Company. It was from the Union Plus Card ( UAW), and it was "See's" Candy of California. I liked the stuff so much I ordered 5 boxes last Christmas.

Best freebee I got was a BU Morgan and 2 - paper $1.00 bills from some marketing company back in the 70's. The pitch was, "which would you rather have"?I think the deal was, if you would prefer the Silver Dollar, you could buy it for X dollars and be signed up for some sort of purchase plan for more. If you didn't want the Morgan, you could use the $2.00 and send the Coin back to them.

I never got around to deciding so I ended up just keeping all the "free gifts". Probably 99% of the other recipients did the same.

This was one of the greatest loser marketing efforts in history.image

they seem like a great bunch, I was surprised though, a few weeks back I was in Boston kicking around looking for the shop and when I found it I was surprised how tiny it was, but it certainly seems like there top notch !!!! kudos

I got one also today from JJ Teaparty. Very nice, and unexpected.
I've been very happy with their coins and service.

  • In 1981-85, each week I would send money to David at JJ Teaparty for a roll of Columbian exposition half Dollars. I thought at the time with the upcoming Chicago World's Fair that they might be a good investment! I wouls scrimp while in school and each and every week one or two rolls of these baies would arrive........................four years later I cracked a few rolls to look over the condition thinking I might find a few nice ones to send in to have graded! I think they pulled them out of silver bullion bags they were dealing in heavily at the time. Anyway,to my surprise, I found 21 coins in one of the plastic tubes! I looked over another few tubes and sure enough!!!!!!!! Each one had 21 coins in it in which I paid for only 20! I called them and explained that I had about 75 free coins I had accumulated over a period of time and they laughed! Told me I was lucky and not to worry about it!

now I didn't make a profit on the Columbian halves but still do have some of the freebies I received. Thanks David!

brother of a dealer you know! image

no candy for me image just free coins! image
live each day like it's your last but don't count on it!
  • I bought a BIG Nestles Crunch bar today for $1.00. I wonder if JJ Teaparty will reimburse me for the coin I bought this year. image
