Opinions needed about submissions

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the PSA process and boards. I've bought a bunch of cards already graded, but I have never sent any in for grading. I am contemplating sending in a bunch of cards for grading under their December special, most of which I know will not grade high. I was thinking of doing this so that I have a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 for reference when I am planning on submitting future cards. The questions I have are, is it worth it to take this approach? Does PSA typically stay standard with their gradings? Will a 6 pretty much always be a 6? and so on? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

    Welcome to the boards.

In short the answer is no.

All Psa 7's are not created equal.

    Plus a PSA 8 from 1965 can't be put up against a PSA 8 from say 71.

Some PSA 7 cards can be nicely centered while others could grade PSA 9OC.

    Good for you.
  • Some of my nicest cards are the Gem mint 5's with a reverse hairline crease.

onlyanumber, Instead of trying to gain those examples yourself. I think you'll gain some valuable knowledge quicker if you find Psa sellers who offer nice high res scans.
