Who has all of the 1965 sms coins??

I registered a sms set of 1965 coins recently and was looking at the "competition" when I noticed that most of the low population high grade coins are not registered. For example there are 3 dcam Lincolns that are not in the registry, 23 dcam nickels, I did not see any of the Ms68 cameo dimes, or any of the 28 dcam Kennedy half dollars. Are my competitors "sandbagging" or are there just a lot of the very tough coins that never get registered? Anyone else have this going on with their sets?

Many of those coins are registered in series sets. The individual owners may specialize and have only those coins that fit their own series. Thus, they wouldn't have all five necessary for the year set.

I agree, take a look at a lot of the US type sets. People tend to focus on one nice coin of each type. High Desert has an icreadible set but it is not viewable. A lot of top pops. Unfortunately in my $10 Indian eagle competition John Kutasi has most of the top pops and they are all registered ($$$$$). He has pics for most and it is worth a look. No one will ever come close but it is kinda fun to watch his set get better and better every couple of months. I think PCGS is even showing this set off at the upcoming Long Beach show.

You may also want to check the mint set Registry.

A lot of great coins living in there.
