Tracking your PSA collection

I used to keep a very detailed spreadsheet of my collection with the price I paid for each card, where I got it, and my GPA. Not surprisingly, Windows decided to corrupt the file and I lost all my info aside from what was posted on my online sets. So now its back to the drawing board...

I have run into a problem when trying to recreate my spreadsheets. Like many other people on these boards, I am working on multiple sets (for me, the Nolan Ryan Topps and Basic sets). There is a lot of overlap between the two, so its a little bit of a pain to track the same card on two different worksheets in Excel. Has anyone figured out a way around this? I was thinking of creating an Access database of all the cards in the sets, then create a query that pulls out the cards in each individual set. I also have cards that aren't in either set that I want to track.

Has anyone done this already? I don't want to reinvent the wheel unless I have to. My main concern is making it easy to import and determine which are duplicated and track each weight (if they're different).

Access would be the way to go. You can add all kinds of things, including pics. However, it takes awhile to develop. You can however, import spreedsheets into Access. The easiest way to start might be to grab a checklist from Sportscardslist.com Import that and edit away.
