Hi, just wondering if anyone has opinions on values of 1982 donruss golf, I just got a few psa 9's and a couples psa 10 but there doesn't seem to be much activity on ebay.
I have been watching the 1981 & 1982 Golf sets. '81 has been very active and almost nothing happening on the 1982's. I have been searching all over for the 1982's without much luck. My set is just begining and I am waiting for a new special to send in about 35 cards.
Are you building the set or selling those cards? I would be interested in them (especially the Couples 10).

Congrats on the PSA 9s and 10s. Very hard to get those grades on 1982 Donruss Golf. It took me less than an year to complete my 1981 Donruss Golf Set in PSA 9. I have been very frustrated trying to complete my 1982 set.
I need #44 Mike Reid to finish the 1982 set. If you have a PSA #44 Mike Reid and want to sell it, please let me know.
Golf cards seem to gaining popularity, but have not acheived a great following yet. It is difficult to determine value beyond the "stars". The population report is a great resource in gauging potential value.
I'd be curious to know if anyone has seen any production estimates for either the 81 or 82 donruss sets. as golf collectors know, centering is poor on both - much worse than a typical mainstream sports set from the period. Yet, high grades are relatively abundant in both sets and don't command anywhere near what they did just a few years ago. I'd be surprised if these sets were produced in the quantities that baseball sets were from the period, but I've never seen production info, other than that '82 is perceived to have more limited quantity.
1st I will spam a little since it definately relates to the thread and when the auction ends tomorrow , it can give you a little idea. I have a box up , my understanding is these boxes don't come up more than a couple times a year compared to the 81's that are up pretty regularly. 82 donruss box
another note on the scarcity , I had pm'd with vintagegolfcollector about these and he said they were pretty tough in high grade compared to the 81's as the production was much shorther, I think he has the #1 set so hopefully he will see the thread and can probably answer your question.
Yes the 1982's are WAY WAY WAY tougher in high grades compared to 81's. THey are also very undervalued in my opinion as is most all of the really vintage golf cards out there. 1982 are a steal at current prices and production is very limited compared to the 81's
But yes, golf is starting to take off a bit as well.
ON another note I am selling off a bunch of duplicate 1931 churchman prominent golfers check out the vintage golf thread on the set registry board for details if interested.
