Anyone collect 1976 Star Trek cards?

I mainly collect vintage golf cards but like the 1976 Star Trek cards. Does anyone have experience collecting this set PSA graded? I'm interested in putting the set together in PSA 8 or better and would like to know how difficult that might be. I understand that unopened boxes go for in excess of $ 1000 each.

too costly, even raw cards are expensive compared to other non-sports of the same genre.
