From another thread - New LM book:
>>Counterfeiting in Colonial America

LM - can you post other 'Non Traditional' books in your Library that are good numismatically?

Thanks!

I wish some of them were in my personal library. The one you mentioned is in our public library.

Pickins' are a bit slim there, numismatically speaking.

I do enjoy the work of Colonial Williamsburg archaeologist Ivor Noel Hume, though. Unlike all too many archaeologists, he has a firm grasp of numismatics.

Try his "Artifacts of Colonial America" (a must have if you are into metal detecting and live in one of the former 13 colonies).

Or "In Search of This and That: Tales From An Archaeologist's Quest"- a great read, and profusely photo-illustrated. One whole section is on coins, too.

Making Money by a well known Dutch author is a good read, even it it mostly deals with US counterfeiters.
