Anyone interested in doing a PSA Forum Secret Santa exchange?

Thought it might be a neat idea to get together a Secret Santa Exchange going for this holiday season. What better way to spread a little holiday cheer then to have a PSA card exchange? We all probably have a one or a few extra PSA cards that could be sent to someone else - maybe it would even entice that person to start up a new set! Be it a star card, modern, 50's, 60's, non sport whatever....

Rules would be simple. Leave this option open until 12/14 - if everyone interested would post here or send me a PM or email with your name, address, email address, maybe something that you collect or would be interested in as a potential suggestion for your secret santa...I'll assemble a list and assign everyone a secret santa. Let's set a minimum value at $25 - which is probably a good starting point - but if you're feeling generous you could always go higher

Gift should be wrapped in holiday paper, not just thrown in the envelope. Then, we can all open them up on X-mas morn and report back on here with our latest additions to our collections.

Then I will pm or email everyone back on the 15th with who they need to mail the card(s) to. They would then have a few days to mail the card(s); and they would still arrive by X-mas, or if you don't celebrate X-mas, you'd still get a holiday gift in the spirit of the season. Shipping costs would be the responsibility of the shipper.

Basically, I'll put everyone's name in a hat and pick them out one by one and list them down on a piece of paper. The 1st on the list would buy for the second person. The second for the third, etc all the way down the list. The last person would provide for the first.

Keep em coming. We could always expand it to sports memorabilia or autographs etc. if folks don't have the extra PSA cards....Could always get that auto PSA graded in the new year!!!!

My only problem is I have sold all my doubles that have any great value and thus I would have to trade something I only have one of... as I am pretty sure nobody wants a box full of 80-83 PSA 8 HOFers as that's about all I have doubles of. Could others give an example of the type of card they might be parting with? For example, I have two of a certain '61 high level HOFer but it's only a PSA 6. Cost $40 but it seems sending a 6 might be poor eiquette. Thoughts on what some of you are sending (without being too specific)?

As it is a “gift” I have a little package prepared. My understanding is that this is for fun. So I can only hope that someone will enjoy it.

Yes - its just meant to be fun! Don't forget to wrap your "gift" and mail it maybe by Monday - hopefully it will arrive in time for a X-mas morning opening.

No peeking! Once we all get the presents, we can post pics of our newest additions for everyone to enjoy!

Larry A - if you don't have any doubles I'd suggest maybe an autograph, program, or something of that nature related to sports.

These can be from your personal collection that you might think someone would appreciate, or maybe there's a card show near you that if you are lacking in doubles, you could pick up a relatively inexpensive token.

Who else wants to join in the festivities?

I'd say not to worry about the grade! I wouldn't mind a psa 6, or psa 1 for that matter. Just the thought that counts!
