How many examples of the 1958 DDO Lincoln Cent are known?

Some coins are just plain "Interesting"
  • How many you found so far, Tom? Saw you mention the other day that you were going to start looking. Keep an eye out for ddr-3, I've found a couple that Wiles attributed, while I was looking for the ddo. Doubling on EPU and both wheat ears. Good luck!

Two in PCGS slabs, a third was rumored to have been examined by Del Romines but that has never been confirmed.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Jrocco has the official answer, Sean has the unofficial answer. Interesting that comes up, it was mentioned to me once a number of years ago, but the story I heard is that there were but two and both were discovered in the same mint bag. I tend to agree with the official answer since the rumors are just that - rumors.
