Grade popped! Highest graded 1935 Rice-Stix Dizzy Dean (scan added)

Highest graded 1935 Rice-Stix Dizzy Dean, one of three 8's and one of only 10 graded. Kudos to PSA for correcting a flip error in less than a day! Too bad there isn't a holder that fits it so it doesn't have to have the condom holder.

when you posted on the other thread, i knew it looked great.

    congratulations!
  • Does anyone have a nice Paul Dean card from this set or can point me in the right direction for one? The '9' of Paul Dean must be pretty sweet!

If u had to put a dollar value on this beautiful card, what would it be?

As this is the highest graded, some GUESSTIMATES?

    edit: congrats!
  • I was hoping someone could help me out with that! I'm not sure really, I bought it for $1070 raw (from the same dealer that I bought the 1963 Fleer Checklist that turned out to be a PSA 9). I haven't run across any sales of this card in my searching except for a raw set on lelands that sold a while back for around $900. Anyone have any ideas?

I"ve seen the pair go for 500 (about 4 years ago) up to about 1400. with most in between. But this one is way off the scale.
I know Dan McKee has several sets of these, he might be one to check for Daffy.
BTW, I'd heard Jay Hanna Dean and Jerome Hanna Dean. Guess it depended on his mood.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

I've also heard Jerome Herman Dean. I think he had a different birthdate for each name as well.
