Know what stinks about collecting low pop (high grade) coins?

They're always low end for the grade. For a very fundamental reason. If high end for the grade ones existed, it wouldn't be such a hard coin to find in that grade, and the pop wouldn't be low!

absolutely not true for all pre 1915 coins in ms and proof

    some yes

    most maybe

    but not all
  • I meant mostly 1916-date coins. Of course not litterally every single one, but nearly all.

I simply do not agree with the 1916 and later coins commentary.

Sure, I would agree with a comment that the majority of them are low end for the grade but not "nearly all" and certainly not "all."

  • NO--I think many of TDN's pre- 1916 coins and Stewart Blays pop-top post- 1916 coins are actually undergraded for liability reasons.image
