Yea...go ahead and pile on. Whatever the Eagles are right now, and granted it isn't much, I'll take that over the Vikings anytime. Because next season we'll be back with a solid core of players along with some new players because we've got plenty of room under the salary cap, a great coach, a terrific owner and the best fans in football. You'll still have Mike Tice if he ain't fired, Dante Culpepper who could be one of the most overrated quarterbacks of all time, disorganized management, and a team that is going nowhere in the foreseeable future.

And I will be able to say "I was there" ....

It was not a terrible loss, as most Eagles fans knew what the outcome would be. Mike McMahon is an adequate backup at best, same for Koy.

Stevek - correct. No worries about next season. With a healthy team, and retooled strategy, the Eagles will be challenging for the NFC East title once again. The Giants are the only team in the NFC that will get better next year.

Nah .. the Eagles are the best team in the NFC. They are injured this year and have had some bad luck.

Dallas will not make the playoffs this season. Or next ...

what are you guys hoping to pick up Neil O Donnel in the off season?? You all will be worse next year because you will have
to play the NFC South and there are 4 losses there.

    Was Rocky there?

I am looking forward to that Bucs game ... I have seen a lot of Eagles losses in my time (my 15th season of being a ticket holder) but I will never witness a loss as great as that NFC Championship game.

Hey Joey, you gonna take me up on the offer to see the Eagles kick the punk a$$ Sucs all over Raymond James next year?

You ducked that one last week. I'll even let you stay at my house since we all know you live nowhere near Tampa.

Or will your Mommy not let you go to games anymore?

    No hometown carpet baggin' loser.

How many other boards do you shill on and pull for other teams just to increase the chances of making a correct guess every year or two?

Crappy seasons filled with injury and disgruntled players happen to EVERY team eventually. What is a Eagle fan supposed to do Stalin? Not root for them anymore? Being a fan is ALL about STAYING the fan through times like the Eagles are going through. It makes the good times so much more enjoyable!

Two homes in FL, one two hours south of Tampa and one in the Western Panhandle. My work requires that I live on two places. Unfortunately these days I am in the Panhandle most of the time and it's cold. Getting tired of the 60 degree days.

Have relatives in Tampa. They are Bucs fans, and they suck just like you.

I would eat my own left hand before I wore a Bucs jersey, and I am left handed.

Done! Penn State wins, right after the game you place in your sig-line for a week (seven days) the Penn State sig-line I currently am using. FSU wins...I do the same with an FSU sig-line. Penn State better not lose or this will be the most painful experience of my life.

    Mr. Eli is Mr. Overrated.

The eagles have gotten old quickly, and the current team's philosophy of underpaying everyone but their BOY McNabb is biting them hard. Some people call it 'smart' football to always be so far under the cap, to cut your vets and sign other's castoffs for cheap...but it builds no loyalty, and you have everyone not respecting McNabb because the team feels he's management's boy. Why do you think no one stood up to TO in the media and backed McNabb?

This team is in serious trouble....if they would have just put their stupid pride aside, and resigned TO, life would be much better in Philly...but I guess you reap what you sow. They aren't going to be any better next year, either.

Have you been living in a biocapsule strudying sealife at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean all Fall and haven't heard the news? Injuries have decimated the Eagles this season. Not an excuse - it's a fact.

In retrospect the Eagles would have been better off having never signed him. Yes they needed a receiver but could have and should have signed a player of a little lesser talent who was a "team" player which would have been better off as far as the team is concerned. I didn't want TO signed in the first place but after he was signed, I got sucked into the hype as most Eagles fans did. But this guy is just a negative enigma and I don't fault the Eagles for taking the chance - it didn't work but it was because of TO, not because of anything the Eagles did.

We won't have to worry about any FSU sig. Penn State is a lock in that game.

When he stinks (and he's STUNK on the road) it's because he's a second year quarterback...but then, he plays in NY, so of course he's going to be hyped beyond belief. Oh well, such is life...too bad he'll never hold his brother's jock, let alone be a great QB.

Oh come on now, now you sound like joestalin. Real championship teams like the Patriots didn't let injuries derail their super bowl runs...hell this year, they may end up with 10 wins. The Eagles weren't deep at any position because their ownership is so damn miserly.

You really honestly believe the Eagles would have been better off without TO? The Eagles would have been better off without him this year too? Really? Is there an honest fan among us who wouldn't want TO on their team? You didn't want TO on the Eagles initially either? WHAT?!? That's crazy talk.

You are right Axtell, Eli has struggled on the road, except in San Diego where he had a good game. But as usual, you ruin any decent comment you make with the remark only a idiot would make. If you had any clue, and I'm talking juuuust a wee bit, you would know that the NY media as been quite skeptical of Eli's inconsistent nature ALL year. Radio, newspaper, tv ..... none of them are glorifying ELi's progress.

Axell, you act the same way a retarded monkey does when the only thing it is capable of learning in its life is to bang that coconut on the ground. There you are Ax, banging that coconut, blabbering about stuff you can't comprehend. I almost feel bad for ya chump ...... ummmm chimp. image

<<< You really honestly believe the Eagles would have been better off without TO? >>>

Absolutely yes! Better off not having the TO the Eagles got. Did the Eagles win the Super Bowl last season with TO?...No...so what good was he! Did the Eagles win the NFC Championship game last season without TO?...Yes...because of course TO was not in that game.

Once again Axtell, you know your sports to a large degree but sometimes you fail to grasp the big picture. It's not like it would have been TO or nothing with the Eagles. If TO had never been born, the Eagles still would have signed in the off season the best receiver they could find. Whoever that receiver would have been, the Eagles would have been better off with him than with TO.

First off, Eli is going to be a great QB and he is clearly on his way already ... as much as it saddens me to say.

They aren't going to be any better next year, either

What are you basing that comment on? McNabb is a good QB, no matter what you see in him. The defense is still intact, and basically is an All-Pro secondary ... 3 of the 4 are young, and Dawkins shows no sign of slowing down. They will address the holes on the line, and the linebackers are solid.

Real championship teams like the Patriots didn't let injuries derail their super bowl runs...hell this year, they may end up with 10 wins. The Eagles weren't deep at any position because their ownership is so damn miserly.

C'mon now ... there is no comparison to the injuries between the two. If Brady went down, so would that offense. Period. I for one think that the injuries to the Pats are the main reason they are not playing for home field advantage again. Are they deeper than the Eagles on certain positions? I can think of one only - WR.

The Patriots are a better organization than the Eagles. They are better than every other organization as well. To call the Eagles "miserly" is absurd. They had a HUGE run for years, albeit w/o a ring, which proves they know what they are doing. When Trotter left, they didn't miss a step ... same thing when Hugh left.

The Panthers are a nice organization too. They lost to the Patriots, and then suffered the jinx the following year. Same thing for the Giants a few years back, and your beloved Bucs ... the loser in the Super Bowl historically does not make the playoffs the following year.

Smack aside, there is not another organization in the NFC and few organizations in the NFL that are better than the Eagles. To say they will not be any better next season is reaching ... or hoping.
