Toned 1921 Pilgrim Commemorative - Grade? Value?
I already know I can't take very good pictures. That's why I usually stick to the scanner. Tried to take a few shots of this coin, but the color isn't coming out. The coin looks much nicer in hand.
It's a raw 1921 Pilgrim commemorative. Picked it up at an indoor flea market on Friday. It's soaking in acetone right now because I noticed a little PVC on the surface.
Can anyone give me an idea of the grade? Would it be easier to estimate a grade if I provided a scan?
Value?
I can see a crescent shape on the obverse from another coin. What's the source of the splotchy toning?
It looks like some of the letters are doubled (AT in STATES). Is this common?
