Any other good online dealers of raw coins?

Saturday i made a purchase of a twenty cent piece from J.J. Teaparty. I don't have the coin
yet of course, but their prices and selection are very nice. Also, they aren't blocked at work image
Question, realize they are one of the largest dealerships out there doing what they do, but are
there any other good ones that operate similarly on the web. thanks

Dick Osburn has a good selection of properly graded coins (LINK). Drawback to this site is no photos.

Consider also EarlyUS.com (many coins are raw) and, if it ever gets up and running...Jade Rare Coin. I am really looking forward to seeing Jade's site (as many forum members likely are, including the Jade folks themselves). I've also purchased from Tim Puro's site for both certified and raw coins and found excellent service, good prices, and good coins (vtcoins.com)

Very nice stuff comes from these people. Everything I have received has been better looking than their pictures.

Collector of Large Cents, US Type, and modern pocket change.
  • thanks for the replies. this should give me some good alternatives to browse through.
being on dialup, sometimes shopping ebay and sifting through all of the listings, especially for
the older stuff takes up too much time. Anybody else notice a seller named "ernie" pretty much
dominates the listings for old type coins.
    Anyway,

  • Dick Osburn....no photos...but very generous return policy on raw coins..including for body-bagging on sight unseen coins.

    Go well.

Check out pittbreeder. He has a reputation as being an honest seller and grader. As one guy said, "He'll treat you right."

Ask them to email you an inventory list.

Puro's site drives me nuts. Every time I check it out there are more coins listed as SOLD than there is for sale. I've complained to them about why list what you've sold, just tell me what you want to sell. However, the coins I've bought from them were all reasonable, fast delivered and met with thier discriptions well.
One of my favorites is millersmint.com due to the prices, ability to see what your buying, good delivery service and a hugh inventory.
Someone not to long ago had a post similar to this where there were numerous on line dealers mentioned. Wish I could find that one again.

Ernie overgrades everything, but his pics are pretty good. A lot of cleaned, damaged stuff, though. He also sells third-tier slabs under the ID ebwcoin.

I'd also recommend Brian Greer. He tells it like it is and grades conservatively.
