yeah i saw this tonite... is lo duca good at throwing runners out?
with the mets trading away the whole farm ( well if milledge goes this winter). dont expect to many moves next 2 years. these players are here for 3 years maybe thats why they are trading away the future? bc they will have 3-4 years to rebuild the farm...?

yes he is super good, he will bring leadership and be able to call games perfectly, dodgers F'ed up in giving him up he will also be a fan favorite. Mets should win the mlb championship imo.
The Mets are really helping themselves big time. The question will be -- Can Pedro hold up? When he was with Boston they really tried to limit his innings. In his first year with the Mets, toward the end of the season he started breaking down (missed his last 2 or 3 starts if I remember right). If he has problems again and Glavine performs like he did last year, watch out below! In the NL East, they'll still have to battle with Atlanta and Philly, who got Rowand and Gordon. Don't count on the Wildcard coming out of the East, either.

Not exactly.
Runners had 89 stolen bases in 118 attempts against him last season, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. They would be better off keeping Piazza another two years. At least he'll hit.

You make it sound like the guys a stiff or something
He has been an all-star the last 3 years
btw, i always thought bases were stolen on the pitcher not the catcher
I actually like LoDuca - I was just pointing out he isn't much better than Piazza in throwing out runners. The Mets front office seems so down on the Piazza / Castro catching combo from last year, but their combined numbers (offensively) were pretty good. I am sure they want to get rid of Piazza due to his age, and the fact that he is becoming injury-prone, but they could do worse than him and Castro behind the plate. Without giving up any more prospects in the process.
