$35 grading fee for NFLPA Vinyl Stickers?

Is this right? I just ran into some of these stickers, along with some 1970 Super Football (Namath, Sayers, etc.), but when I checked the price schedule it said that all super sized cards need to be submitted under the two day service; which happens to cost $35 a pop. If this is the case then I guess these cards are either going to SGC or staying in my personal collection, but I'm hoping I'm reading this wrong.

Those don't cost $35 each. The "supersized cards" are the large cards such as T3 Turkey Reds. They require the largest holders PSA currently has (5 3/4" x 8").

The NFLPA vinyl stickers and 1970 Topps supers will fit in the "tall boy" holders (1976-77 basketball size).

There's a note on the Submission Center webpage that states:

"Note: Tall boys, pins/coins may be submitted on each of the above services but must be submitted as a separate order from regular sized cards. Separate shipping and handling fees will apply. Failure to separate will result in additional fees and cause significant delays in processing your order."

This means you can submit these cards at any level down to the $10 per card "Premium Commons" price.

    Hi SDSF-

Are you sure about the Supers? You're right about the NFLPA stickers; I have a slabbed Staubach, and the holder appears to be around 7 1/2" by 4 1/2" or so. But it doesn't look like a Super will fit in there.

Have you had any Supers slabbed before?

I sure am. I have a 1970 Super Lance Alworth slabbed in that size holder. It's similar to the regular size holder. With different sized internal dimensions, they hold T206s, 1933 Goudeys, and the different sized Bowman and Topps cards. All these holders are overall the same size; they just have different internal dimensions.

The "Tall-boy" holders will hold 1970s baseball discs, T201 and T202 baseball, the NFLPA vinyls, 1965 football and hockey, 1969-71 basketball and the 1970-71 baseball and football supers, as well as the 1976 basketball.

Different internal size dimensions-- that makes sense. The super looked like it 'almost' fit when I superimposed it on the Staubach, and a small change on the internal borders would do the trick.

So-- to recap-- you can submit the Supers and the vinyl stickers on the same invoice? Sorry if I'm coming across as dense, but I just want to make sure.

    Thanks for all your help!

I had the whole set of 72 NFLPA vinyls graded and I think they were $8 a piece. If you read the red print on the fee schedules page, it says Tall boys, which is what they consider the NFLPA stickers, can be submitted under any of the service levels, but they have to be on a seperate order. Since the NFLPA vinyl's are 1972, and to my knowledge that is the only year they were issued, you can do the $8 modern rate.
