Is a "Signed by Donna Pope" 1982 Washington allowed in set registry?

I cant seem to get an answer from PCGS on this... so maybe someone in the forum knows?

Is the 1982 PR70DCAM signed by Donna Pope allowed to be listed in a Registry Set?

I think the cert numbers are on the back on those coins. All you need to do is enter the cert number. I have on in my type set.

I just tried to enter a PR69 Donna Pope commem entered using the cert No on the reverse, it would not recognize it. I talked to CS, and sent a scan of front and back, I was promidsed ananswer by COB today.

It may be that they plan on having a Registry for sig. coins someday, and not allowing them now would save a lot of headaches for them later.

I think it would hurt the marketability of these coins.

I do know they did a non-graded signature ( BU) series for the 1776/1976 artists.

Plus , many places are selling the PR/MS-70 Signed coins with Registry logos / annotations- ( E-bay, teletrade ( not sure about Heritage))

Also I think I recall seeing the notation in other peoples registry sets. ( Lynch or Pope or Aarmstong)

Also, I noted that there is a YN with his first coin in the set being a PR68, and I would like to send him one of my Donna Pope PR69s, but I need to wait to make sure it is acceptable to the sets.

My Pr69 DCAM Donna Pope was just fixed to be accepted into the registry.

According to Gail at the registry, Normally there is not an issue, but there was with some of my certs.

One thing I noticed and asked about, was the apparent discrepancy in populations, it looks the the pop numbers are separate-

Looks like for population for PR70DCAM for regular slab 41 for Donna Pope signed slab 76

  • I entered mine in the registry without any problems. Bob
  • I had the same problem.
Apparently it has a different coin # than the plain holdered Washingtons.
Our coins were probably from the same submission.
It now shows up in my registry as a Donna Pope signed coin.
