  • Out of all the things listed, I would still take my NYL button... but I didn't want to
vote for my own find. I picked Phut's large fire dept. badge... cool find Phut!

  • I'm voting for the smaller fire dept badge. Tim, can you tell us the demensions? I don't think I've ever seen a small badge, so this is an oddity!

    Marym,
The small badge is 1 1/4 inches tall and less than an inch wide. About the size of two nickels side by side. It has a clip on the back that looks like it would slide over a shirt pocket.

I voted for Riccar's button, but Phut's badges were also considered.
Those firemen seem to have lost a lot of stuff - Phut also found a complete set of FD buttons some time ago if memory serves.. image

  • Riccar's New York Lancers cuff button is the best Relic this month.
  • Thanks for the size on that badge Tim. If I think of it, I'll ask my dad if he ever had a badge that small. All I remember was full regulation size badges.

  • Thanks everyone. It was a fun piece of history to find last month.

And Phut... an entire year's worth of digging out here doesn't compete with
a few months of digging in your "neck of the woods"!!! image
