What if your cards aren't graded in time requirements? (5 days/$12 card)

Hi-
I'm looking for some insight on a "possible" situation.. What does a collector deserve if their grades don't meet the time requirements for a certain grading period they pay for? The reason I ask is that I have an order of 12 cards received at psa on Wed., Nov. 23....logged in on Monday, Nov. 28... and no grades posted as of 9:15 pm central time today.. These cards were all under the 5 day/ $12 card special.. Today is day 5 if a guy counts the log in day which I always have in the past !! I'm thinking a guy should get about 6 freebies for paying for a certain level but not getting what they paid for. Maybe they will pop up soon but I doubt it! It's 8pm in CA and I doubt anyone is still working... Just curious what others think or experiences they've had... Hopefully they pop up but I've never seen anything past 8pm before!

    1 free grading per invoice.

I had one that was late last year- instead they just readjusted the rec'd date after the fact to reflect that it was done on time.
It'll get done when it gets done, and you'll like it.
The log in day doesn't count either. Add a day.

  • Paul,
Hello. I don't think they starting counting the days until the day after check in, so you would only be at 4 days. In addition, the 5 days at $12 special is not 5 guaranteed (text from special - Your grades will be available in approximately 5 business days.). I only know this because I was thinking the same thing on my last invoice and it took them the whole five days to grade mine. So your grades will probably post on Monday.

  • They dont count the log day but they do guarantee 5 days according to customer service (several different people have told me the same thing on the phone there) for the registry special. The grades will show up early monday evening just under the deadline.

What do you get from PSA if they don't meet their time requirements?

    A. An excuss as to why it was delayed.
    B. An apology by a customer service rep. explaining that there were two Canadian holidays during the time they logged it in until now.
    C. A promise to rush this order so it can be done today.
    D. An invoice for a free grade next order. The only catch is that the free grade has to be sent in by itself and the card can't be worth more than $500. Shipping/insurance is your responsibility back.

It either one of these answers.

  • Glossy,
I had the same thing happen-PSA just didn't update the status until late in the day.

    Good luck!

  • To each his own, but what I do is take into consideration all the times they've gotten my previous orders back to me early. I haven't voiced any complaints to them if they are 1 day over, here and there (I can't remember when they've been late, but I've been a customer for about 10 years now). I kinda like to look at the big picture. For 12.00 a card, I would expect to get my cards graded on or very close near the turnaround time. Again, many of my orders have been graded early. The main thing for me is if it takes an extra day to get my lables correct and cards graded accurately, I'll would let the lateness slide.
