What's the deal with the vintage "Christmas" rack packs?

If someone could give me the lowdown on these, I'd appreciate it. TIA.

They were issued years after the cards were produced by a third party company. Just like today when you see a pack of 50 or so cards in a bubble package. The cards conditions could range from very good to mint since they would just sort the cards they received and seperate them by year and package them. I think Mark Murphy came across a number of these several years ago.
    Hope this helps.

Here's a few threads on them
    Xmas Rack packs

    Xmas Racks 2

    Xmas Racks 3

Basically you'll be disappointed no matter what the reason for buying them.

Think "Tri-Star Hidden Gems" packs. I agree with the above, you'll likely be disappointed regardless the price or reason for purchasing.
