Football HOR RC

Does anyone know/remember how the determination for the card to be used in the set was made when there are several to chose from? The 1961 Maynard Topps/Fleer and the 1948 Leaf/Bowman cards come to mind.

The more desirable of the cards is included. Maynard's '61 Topps card was originally part of the set until it was rightfully changed to his '61 Fleer issue.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I believe the card with the higher PSA 8 price in SMR was used.

I think both of you are correct.

The higher PSA 8 price was used as a proxy for desireability.
