1981 Topps Joe Montana tampered with?

Hi all,

I would really like to own this card and was wondering if you think the Joe Montana PSA 9 case was tampered with? Notice the clouds on the left edge toward the top and also on the left top corner.

I've gotten cases straight out of my boxes from PSA that looked like that. I wouldn't worry about it. Ask for a close-up scan of the card itself and the left and top edges as well as the back. That may help you as well.

Edited to say: Is it just me or do the colors of the Elway and Marino look odd? The Elway looks extra "orange" and the Marino, particularly on the banner with his name, looks more turquoise than I'm used to seeing...the cases look fine though.

PHEW! So it's not just me. lol

I've actually looked at a few and thought to myself...if I had just gotten this in a bubble mailer off ebay I'd be a bit concerned. Usually it's just a little "frosting" on one edge or corner, but it does happen.

The scans are very poor quality. I wouldn't read too much into the colours looking off.

Those older holders where the flip number starts with zero seem always to show frost.
