Opinions on my toned Morgan wanted

Sorry about the glare in the pics, it was the only way I could capture the golden color with my hi-tech lighting. Opinions as to desireability of toning appreciated. It is in a PCGS MS66 slab, and I didn't pay a premium on it. The reverse is a nice clean white, so I didn't include a picture.

Thanks,

Jay

I'd say above average but not stellar. Some premium but not knockout premium. Assuming it is a 64, I'd say about $80-100. Your mileage may vary.
  • Nice pretty coin. It doesn't have the "big money colors" but is still nice. If you want to learn about or view the top colors click to WWW.tonedcoins.ORG and look at the crimson red, green and blue combinations that bring 4-5 $ figures.image

Thanks for the info Morgannut2, I was pretty sure it wasn't big dollar stuff, but I also didn't know if would be considered positive or negative to have that kind of toning...I like it, but didn't know if anyone else in the market would.
  • I like it. I know many who prefer "blast white" coins. But to me I much prefer your coin. I am no expert on AT vs NT and usually don't offer opinions but this coin seems purely Natural to me and I would publicly state it is NT.
  • I think you're right Carl--perhaps stored in an old 2 x 2 brown manila envelope for a long time??image Nice and NT--

  • I personally like golden toned coins. Nice coin.

I like golden toning, but it's hard to tell from the pic if yours is worth a premium- is it gold, like almost gold leaf gold, or more like dirt brown, muted luster gold?
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !

NT Gold Envelope Toning like on your coin is nice to some but is common and IMHO adds no premium.
