Anyone care to take a poke at the grade on this raw 1924 VAM-1A Peace dollar? The third photo photo shows the Bar-D.

Nice vam. Peace dollars are tough for me, but at least AU58..if those are circ marks on the cheek. Otherwise 63 is possible.

Very nice and large die gouge. My guess as to grade, although it is tough to grade from images, is an MS62. Of course, if there is any rub, then AU58.

From the way it looks, 62 if it doesn't have any rub..... nice coin. That one is actually pretty difficult to find....

Guess I'm too optimistic- the luster, strike, and the 2 marks on the cheek and neck ticks still seem permissive of a grade of MS64, assuming no rub and the black at edge is really brown toning instead of black oxidized PVC. Nice coin.
