Just got back from the local P.O. ........ Sent off 1000 oz. silver (10 X 100 oz Engelhards)....... Packed them securely in a "flat rate" box....... The clerk about died when she tried to lift it !!!!!! Anyways........ here's the good part.......
Cost to ship 1000 oz...... $7.70
Registered Fee
(Insured for $8500) ...... $16.50

REALLY HEAVY PACKAGE........ $24.20
The look on the clerks face......... PRICELESS !!!!!!!!!
Edited to add......... the package weighed in at 69 lbs, 15.2 oz !!!!! I made it with less than 1 OUNCE to spare !!!!!!!!
