Slabs from Darrell and Darrell!

I just couldn't resist. After our discussion here, I decided that I would avail myself of the grading expertise from the land where siblings wed.

I was so smitten by HIZ WUNNERFUL AUKSHUN DESKRIPSHUNZ (*ahem*, sorry about that), that I invested the mind-boggling sum of $7.17 including shipping for two auctions.

So were the coins any good? Did I get ripped off? Did simply bidding on the auctions lower my IQ by 20 points?

In short: the coins sucked moose genitalia.

The coins were harshly cleaned. The surfaces of both have a porous surface to them, and the fields on the Canadian piece are simply beat to hell and back.

The French Indochina piece is a shame, as it actually has quite good detail.

I kinda expected garbage. Well, I got it! image

Until I looked at that, I thought POGS had the best slabs in the business!

Does the Canadian 10¢ rattle when you shake the slab? It looks as though it might.

At least you didn't pay a lot of money for the privelege of being outraged.
