What is your record for cracking a coin (safely) out of a slab? What type of coin? What type of slab?

    Three or four seconds out of a PCI slab. Garden snips, one clip and the slab fell in half.

    ANACS slab, about 1/2 second, just a quick pinch just above the coin on the side with snips and crack across the face makes coin extraction fast and easy. As for longest crack out time, SEGS slab, about 15min till i found a hard surface to hammer the holder on.

    My record is 3 or 4 seconds getting a Merc out of an NGC holder. A close second was a Morgan in an ANACS holder- 6 seconds, it took an extra few seconds to get a good grip on the little slab.

    If done properly it should take no more than one second to break out and remove a coin from a PCGS holder. It should take no more than two seconds to remove a coin from an NGC holder.

    Breaking an ANACS holder does not require tools and should take about two seconds.
