Are you past wondering if that NGC-slabbed coin you're thinking of buying will cross to PCGS?

After seeing board member extraordinaire, RYK, get hosed trying to cross a really nice gold coin, I lost all interest in even thinking about crossing coins. I now focus on the coin itself and don't worry about the plastic or the grade on it.

No, I don't worry about it crossing...I only wonder what it will look like naked.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.
  • I've gotten to the point where if i even consider buying an NGC coin i automatically deduct 1 point from the assigned grade if i am considering a cross over.

The only coins i deviate slightly from this on are varietys. Those i wouldn't probably be attempting a cross over on anyway.

It is has not been an issue for me to date. If and when I decide to sell some of my collection, it may be a concern.
