Need help identifying this one!!!

Any ideas? What is it?

    It is supposed to be a Roman Quadrigatus (or didrachm) from the late 3rd century BC. It looks a bit odd - and repos of these are around -
    but its hard for me to tell from the scan (and its way outside of my area of early 4th century AD folles).

    Thanks, I think you nailed it on both counts.

    I took the coin out the holder and I think it is a fake. My daughter bought it yesterday for 14 bucks and figured she would take a chance. Oh well, live and learn, right?
