Concord, CA Coin Show on 11/27/05

For those of you who live in Northern California and the Bay Area, there is a coin show on Sunday November 27 in Concord, CA. The show is hosted by the Diablo Numismatic Society and the show takes place at 2200 Willow Pass Road in Concord, CA.

I intend on attending this show tommorrow morning. Is anybody else planning to attend?

Don't worry because there is another coin show in Northern California next week in Fremont, CA. That show is a very good show that was well attended last year.

the show took place yesterday. I was there for a few hours and the show wasn't as big as I was expecting and there weren't as many dealers as I expected. One dealer had a nice selection of toned coins. The majority of the other dealers had a bunch of circulated and very average Morgan Dollars and other common silver coins. The selection wasn't great at the show. Perhaps the coin show next weekend in Fremont, CA will be much better.

Was anybody else at that show? If you were, what did you think about it?

The show was very active on Saturday, less so on Sunday. A fairly small show overall with 30-35 dealers set up. I was set up and there the whole time and had a very solid show as did most dealers I spoke with. Very encouraging 2 N. California shows in 2 weekends and both solid shows for the first time in many months.

I will be writing a show report in the next day or two.
