Anybody done any business with Victorian Rare Coins of Melrose, MA?

Any experiences, good bad or indifferent?

Terrible website without pictures & highish prices, but he has got some things few others do, and I've been tempted to call...

That should be Andy Seminario. He's been around for quite a while.
He tries to look for value in pops, better dates, etc. He's a solid dealer who negotiates very hard on the buying side. Would have to agree that his advertised prices look high. If there is something that you really want I would go after at it, but negotiate just as hard on your end. He knows his markets/spreads very well. Last time I saw him he said his internet selling was doing very well. He doesn't have much time to go to shows these days.

    Exactly what roadrunner said.

Never have been disappointed with his coins.

Andy is a great guy. I've bought 2 coins from him and still in the process of negotiating on a 3rd...we've been negotiating this coin for 1 year now image

His prices are at the upper end of the trading range -- always -- but his coins are really all there! I've seen his inventory as recently as the Boston show last week, and can speak first hand. No "liner" coins in his case, if you know what I mean.

    Hope this helps.

    Mike.

I would echo pretty much what Mercurydimeguy said. Andrew Seminario has been a regular at the Boston Baystate Show for several years, and his inventory is typically quality material. He certainly has an eye for quality coins, and prices them accordingly. He had little for half dimes with him at the Baystate Show, so he invited me to view his website to see what he might have in inventory. As stated earlier, I was surprised to see that he had no images on his website, but the descriptions, combined with what I saw of his coins at the show, were consistent. I would give him a try.
