I am going to set up a table at today's Houston (Pasadena Club) Coin Show to sell some of my Morgan Dollars. Please stop by with plenty of cash and Let's Make a Deal!! image

If you'd like to see my show coin inventory please refer to my Morgan Dollar BS&T Thread

If any forum members wish to provide me with some moral support, and perhaps a bit of assistance, please come to the show and see me. You'll get first shot at my coins!! image I will be setting up at Jason Stevens' table, and impersonating him with shorter hair.

If the Show Coordinators cooperate, and business is brisk, I may also try it again on Sunday. I'll post a show report this evening. I hope to see you at the show!

Thanks for your good wishes George and Brian!!

I had a very enjoyable and also successful day today at the Houston Coin Show. Thanks to one great customer who purchased 31 of the 74 mostly common date Morgans that I brought to the show, I had a super business day today!! image

I plan on being there again tomorrow (Sunday), and would like to see some of the local Houston PCGS Forum Members there.

  • The weather really was lousy today. How was the turnout? I ended up hitting some dealer websites this morning and spent my quota for the next couple of weeks, so I couldn't see getting out with the goofy holiday shoppers in the rain when I wasn't going to buy anything. Glad to hear you found one customer who was in the buying mode. Did the customer buy an assortment of different years/mints or any kind of theme?

Barry (BGrice): My client is a dealer who sells via mail order list, who purchased multiple common date Morgan Dollars like 1879-S, 1880-S, 1881-S, etc in MS-63 and MS-64 condition.

The show turnout was moderate, but not very busy, probably because of a combination of the bad weather, College football games, and the Autorama Show also competing for attention.

Mike: It was good seeing you, LoanShark, LoanShark Jr, and Dizzle CC at the Coin Show on Friday. Thanks for your good wishes in my coin sales pursuit.

Just for clarification, I am not planning on being a full-time coin dealer, just a now-and-then weekend wannabe who may wish to sell some duplicates from my collection as I prune it a bit to improve it.

    Good Luck Stuart!

P.S. Be careful when you use the term "wannabe". I believe it has been trademarked by Ms. Sperber, image
