1923-P (Peace Dollar) Grade Guess?

Hey,
I picked up this Peace dollar today for $12.00. What'd you think the grade is?
I would say High AU or maybe even MS, not sure...
Thanks,
SM

Sorry for being dense, but what does "Slider" mean?
    Thanks,

I would say MS63. But is that PVC on the reverse?

A slider is a coin that is probably AU but can pass for uncirculated. I guess it slides pass the AU right into unc unless you look really close or something.

A slider is a lightly circulated coin that unscrupulous dealers used to (and some still) sell to collectors as BU. It can also be the same coin to a collector to fill a spot in his set where an AU is much more common and inexpensive compared to a BU of the date. Foe Morgans, as an example, 1884-S is commonly one such slider. Choosing one that retains most of the mint luster but has a rub can be perfectly acceptable to some collectors. Sometimes, the slider will have a superior strike and minimal bagmarks over the typical BU too. That is the classic slider. With the advent of 3rd party grading and slabbing, buyers typically have stopped worrying about egting the AU slider for BU money, though it really remains a problem to a lesser extent.
