So, maybe UV glass DOESN'T offer much protection after all...

I was looking online to see if I could buy some UV protecting glass to put in my bookcase where I am displaying a bunch of autographed cards when I stumbled across this rather disturbing experiment into how much protection UV glass provides

YIKES!!!

True, this has to do with antique Japanese prints, NOT autographed baseball items. But we all know the risk of autographs fading over time, and this experiment shows that UV glass provides almost no protection from the damage of sunlight if a print is sensitive to it.

For those who don't want to read the whole thing, the writer took an antique print and put it on a windowsill FACING OUT for 8 months. On the left most portion, he protected the print whith UV glass. The second dtrip saw NO protection for 8 months. The 3rd strip was only exposed for 4 months. The far right was covered for the whole experiment.
