Did some re-imaging today on a few bits of modern stuff and got these results on this one...

The coin is deep cameo finish but for some reason decided to come out like this...






Cropped pics and added black background, nothing else.

Rather like the effect.

Did you shoot those head-on with direct light, or at an angle?
I think if you diffuse the light around the coin (look for threads about the lampshade technique) you'll get the mirrored effect you're looking for.

Managed to get the cameo pics but rather like the rainbow effect from the mirror surfaces.

Could be just me
