1915-s Saint Gaudens pcgs-65 (old holder): $1600. Pretty good deal? (Dad is buying more gold that

Hey guys. Perhaps you remember the thread where I thought my dad was getting a 4000 coin for 1600. Well of course he had gotten the date wrong when he talked to me but this date (1915-s) is the coin he is getting. It seems to be a pretty fair price for this coin but I don't know ANYTHIN G about gold. Is this an ok purchase price? (Assuming the coin is acurately graded of course...I have not seen it.)

CDN ask on this is $1600 so not unreasonable....and possibly cheap depending on quality.

<< <i>That price is reasonable. However it's a much better deal if the coin is actually nice for the grade.......and PCGS to boot. Old holder has promise but there are dogs out there.

as for me a totally original eye appealling pcgs ms65 that is fully struck and with no grainuality at all and some nice original coloration and again with way above average eye appeal would be a $ 3000 coin to me
i can buy ugly ms 65 pcgs and ngc 1915-s saints for 1500 or so which are ok ms65 technical 65 grades accourding to the saervices i might disagree though but little eye appeal which is a combination of weak strike and also grainuality in the planchet etc.
i got to see the coin in hand sight seen to be sure i cant tell you anything without seeing the coin other than my best guesstimate and per the above this is it
