I Hate the Mint!!!

Every year I get my dad a mint set for Christmas. I order a silver proof set for me, a proof set for my brother, and a mint set for my dad way back in July (or whenever the mint set came out). I got the silver proof sets first (I got my neighbor to buy one), a couple weeks later I got my brothers proof set.
Then we waited for the mint set. I checked the status and it said it had shipped. So my mom calls the mint. They send a CNR which takes two weeks. Right away, my mom sends the CNR (late September). After another 3 weeks, they say it is on backorder until November 10. Well I check the status on the 12 and is says, "1 unit shipped". So I then click on the link to track it. That won't work.
Last week my mom called the mint and the reason it cannot be tracked is supposedly it was sent registered mail? Since when does the mint use registered mail?!? I think the mint is just giving an excuse!!! I keep trying to tell my mom how bad the mints customer service is. She has probably spent hours on the phone for a 16.95 product that we still do not have! What would you recommend on how to handle this with the mint? I doubt we will ever get the mint set! The main question is how to handle this problem with the mint?!?!
Edited: so it won't sound like it belongs in different forum.

I myself have been ticked off at their slow response to anything in the way of customer service.
I feel for you, and I understand your frustration, but I can't help you.
In the event yours shows up, I would like the same in return.
PM me if you really think the Mint won't deliver in time.
Also, this is not necessarily a post for the U.S. Coin forum, it would be better posted in the Buy Sell Trade forum, or BST as is so commonly referred to.
..... I tell my kids that "hate" is an awfully strong emotion ..... it's okay, we'll get your dad his Christmas present.

Wellcome aboard
The Mint ships via registered mail when the value of the package is over $300. Since your set is not $300, that means it went ordinary mail. The tracking link never works, don't even look at it. They are not singling you out!
Just for the record, in case this board is being monitored by the CIA, IRS, FBI, or other Patriot Act enabled organization, I firmly believe, as does my entire family, that the US Mint does a fantabulous job at making affordable, durable, and appealing products
