Is anyone aware of whether the beaded border has 100% of the beads detached from the rim, or are some connected to the rim to form teeth of a sort?

These images aren't very good (taken with my old camera) but here is a beaded border that I own....
Not sure exactly how you would state it but the beads don't look like teeth, but touch the rim a bit?
EDIT: to add some close ups I found, hope this helps.....

It's a nice piece, definitely toothed, definitely not a mule.
In addition, it is the 5 berry variety, berries arranged 2-2-1. In spite of the detail, the grade is gVF and the value is about $10.
