Official sales of American Eagles end on Dec. 9

"Sales of 2005-dated platinum, gold, and silver American Eagle bullion coins will end on Dec. 9.
Any remaining inventory will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Dec. 12 and will
remain on sale until gone. These cutoff dates do not guarantee availability of all coins in all sizes."

    I think it means that the remaining inventory isn't guaranteed,
    whereas if you order before the cutoff date you are assured delivery.
  • FWIW, the half ounce Platinum Eagle proof seems to have the lowest mintage so far.
