New rules. Now sellers can post things on both the BST and the REG forum for max exposure. Up to 10 items per day.
May as well call this the new "PCGS BST" forum. That's all it will become from here....a glorifed BST message board. Then again it can't become any deader than what the Reg Forum had become.
If you wish to link to a PCGS-graded coin that you are selling on Teletrade or ebay, you may do so. It can be considered one of the ten coins you are allowed to list in a daily post.
We are going to carefully monitor how this goes. We definitely do not want this to turn into the BST messageboard, which was the problem in the first place. You break the rules, you face Carol J's firing squad, and you don't get a trial! Unfortunately, that means a ban from all CU forums. If everyone follows the policy, this forum will be a fun place again.
Thanks in advance to everyone for your cooperation!
My comments: I liked the Registry board BECAUSE there was limited posting. In reality, I cannot look at ALL the posts on the Coin board so I look at maybe 30 or so each day. I probably miss alot that might be of interest to me because of the large volume. I know some of what I post is of interest to only a few. On the Registry board those people would see all the posts. I too, would see all the posts and be able to respond. My concern now is that the Registry board will become just an extention of the BTS board and there will be no place where people who want to communicate on special areas of the hobby will have their views seen by the people who may be interested.
The "rules" for the new Registry board seem to invite everyone from the BST board to come join the fun. From a selling perspective, that's great. I'd assume most BST posters believe they sell PCGS quality registry coins anyway. For those of us that are not active buyers or sellers I do wonder where we can just talk about registry coins. I guess it will have to be the Coin board. We will see how it all works out. Steve
<< <i>Rules or not, it will be fun to see how long it takes before non-PCGS coins start being offered. >>
It's PCGS' forum and they can do what they like. But it seems as a coin collector I'm not seeing coins that might fit into my sets. Coins that might be "crossover candidates", if I chose to do so.
Having said that, I don't want to see this forum turn into a BST forum either. The information shared here used to get lost among all the "ads".
I feel as if an old friend is about to pass on. RIP Registry Forum
I've seen nothing that could not have been hawked on the BST forum. Just my opinion, I hope I'm still entitled to express it without getting anyone upset.

Thanks for breathing life back into this forum.
It should be better than ever with the increased activity and the rules laid out in black and white.

Thanks, Carol.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
