FSH - 1868 XF45 IHC Cracked Out

I couldn't resist and had to crackout an NGC XF45. There appears to be something in the lower part of the first 8, so I was hoping that it would fall out when it was free from the slab, but no luck. I'm not sure what it is, and I've never attempted the rose thorn removal process, and don't think I could (one hand holding the loupe, the other hand busy holding the coin). The coin is a nice woodgrain brown on both sides.

Anyway, I thought I would try to sell on the boards. I've still got most of the slab, including the insert, if the buyer is interested.

Price: $120 delivered.

If you would like bigger pictures, please PM and I'll try to do better.

Thanks for looking.
A 1943 copper Lincoln will still only buy a gumball out of the machine, but you can purchase the machine and the store with that same cent.

Please make your image smaller, or better yet, crop the darn thing!

I'm more bothered by the crud on the 'E' in 'ONE' (reverse)

    1868 what?
  • Thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize the listing pictures were that big. I hope it's more tolerable now.
