Longacre gold dollar patterns (J115)-- are these the only hand cut US coins in existence?

I was taking a read through the Judd/QDB pattern book and I noticed a pattern gold dollar created by Longacre (J115). The coin is described as hand-engraved (with each being unique), rather than die struck. Because the only knowledge that I have of patterns is the 49 pages that I've read in the book so far, does anyone know whether there are other US coins which have been hand engraved, rather than die struck? Maybe this is a stupid question and happens quite often in the pattern world, but I don't know. Here is a link to the picture and information:

One of the highlights of my collecting life was holding one of them at an auction lot viewing in Baltimore a couple years ago. That was something - to hold a coin hand-engraved by ol' JBL himself.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

While I was in DC at the National Portrait Gallery, doing research for my book I was able to hold Longacre's engraving tools, diary and sketch book. That was awesome!
